Pearls have always been a passion for Anil Maloo, founder and owner of Baggins. Anil is the eldest grandson of Shikharchand Chodhry, founder of Orient Pearl and La Perle D' Orient. His extensive knowledge in gemstones, precious stones, pearls, pearl farming, and jewelry making has turned heads as he comes up inspiring new designs with gem quality pearls. He started his career working initially for a diamond company in Bombay, from where he moved to Japan for three years working for a pearl company. He then moved to Vietnam to setup a pearl farm and after two years decided to further his extensive knowledge by studying at the prestigious gemological school of GIA in Calsbad, California.
